Tom Koetsier is an Associate Broker with Compass Realty Services and member of the Greater Regional Alliance of Realtors. He is the former president of the Rental Property Owner’s Association of Kent County(RPOA) and the Rental Property Owner’s Association of Michigan. He continues to serve on the board of the RPOA and sits on the Government Affairs Committee. He is a West Michigan native with 20 years of corporate experience and 20 years as a successful entrepreneur. Tom has owned and managed rental and investment property in Grand Rapids and the surrounding communities for 20 years. Tom teaches a Certified Owner Manager seminar on Buying and Selling Rental Property as well as a popular class on How to Appeal Your Property Taxes. He is an excellent resource on historic preservation guidelines, housing code regulations, and tax-deferred exchanges. Tom is a graduate of Western Michigan University. Tom enjoys spending time with his grandson and traveling with his wife, Clare.
