Compass Property Services, a growing Grand Rapids-based residential property management / remodeling firm is looking to fill several positions including:

  • Multi-Site Property Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate will become a core employee in our growing firm. 5-7 years experience in residential remodeling and/or property maintenance is preferred. Must be able to work quickly, reliably, and efficiently without direct supervision. References required.

Candidates must provide their own vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed), tools, and cell phone. Our long term goal is to eventually provide company vehicles. We’re not quite there yet.

Candidate must live no further than 20-25 minutes from the center of Grand Rapids; this is crucial to our ability to provide timely service and keep client costs down.

Qualified candidate would be capable of doing home maintenance and improvement work including (but not limited to) plumbing, electrical, general contracting and repairs, Also a plus, but not required, experience in a specific trade such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, etc. Candidates must be able to take direction from written work orders, handle petty cash, manage a schedule, and track expenses for material and labor. Clear communication skills (written and verbal) are essential. Computer, email, and digital camera skills preferred.

This position will require you to be on-call some nights and weekends. Being on call will rotate with others in the company.

This position is a hourly position requiring 40-45 hours/week along with some evening/weekend on call rotation.

Compensation & Hiring Bonus is based on experience and skill set.
